Hi, I’m Umidbek.
I build PolyDev.
I am an independent software engineer, and PolyDev is my project: an AI coding agent and IDE for Android. I have worked in web development for more than 14 years, in mobile development since 2022, and today I work as an AI engineer. I started on a keypad Nokia.

My story
In 2012 I did not have a computer. I had a keypad Nokia 6303i Classic and a huge desire to make something of my own on the internet. On it, in a WAP site builder, I put together my first website. A tiny screen, buttons instead of a keyboard, slow mobile internet: there were plenty of reasons to give up. I looked for opportunities, not excuses.
Then came years of teaching myself: HTML and CSS, then PHP, then JavaScript, later Flutter and Python. Nobody held my hand. I learned, made mistakes and built projects. More than 14 years have passed, and web development has been my work all that time. In 2022 I added mobile development, and over time I grew into a software engineer and an AI engineer.
That mix is exactly what PolyDev needs: a mobile app, a real Linux environment on the device and an AI agent that works inside it.
I remember what it is like to want to create when all you have is a phone, and I know there are millions of such people today: students, beginner developers, everyone with an idea and the will but no powerful computer. PolyDev is the tool I was missing in 2012: a full development environment on the phone, with an AI agent that writes code with you and explains what it does, a real Linux terminal, a live preview and publishing in a couple of taps.
